Card fronts show a color photo of the player surrounded by a thin black frame with rounded edges against a white border; to the lower right is a small black silhouette against a color background showing the player's team position. In the space below the photo can be found the player's name and team.
Card backs have a cartoon at the top showing a moment from the player's career, with the card number in a small baseball graphic to the lower left; to the right of this are the player's name and basic biographical stastics against a black background, and below this are the player's game stats, year by year, in yellow.
There were fewer cards in this than in recent sets - though whether this was an aesthetic decision or an economic one is unknown.
This was the last Topps set released in waves of series; this meant no more scarce 'high numbers' cards which have plagued collectors over the years with previous entries.
