1936 Overland Candy Co. R301 baseball card This set consists of 55 wax paper wrappers, each measuring 5 x 5-1/4 inches. Blank-backed and unnumbered.

Wrapper fronts show a line drawing portrait of the player, surrounded by smaller generic baseball player images; below this is the player's name, team, and position, followed by a block of text concerning his life and career. Below this is the candy logo and the company's name and address along the bottom.

These were actually the wrappers that covered pieces of penny candy manufactured by the company from its headquarters in Chicago.

Naturally, most surviving examples have wrinkles and folds from their original purpose, although some unfolded examples exist.
