Card fronts depict a crude color drawing of the player, with his name below, or else superimposed (hand-lettered) within the drawing along with a brief phrase of advice to young players.
Card backs read 'Major League Secrets' at the top, then the card number and title, followed by a paragraph of advice for young baseball players. The name and location of the issuing company is at the bottom.
These rather crudely drawn cards were produced by the Schutter-Johnson Candy Corporaton of Chicago, and were probably issued singly in individual packs of whatever the hell kind of candy they produced.
Though not the most attractive of baseball card issues, their age and player selection still make this a card set worth seeking out.
Prominent cards in this set include:
10 - Christy Mathewson
20 - Lou Gehrig
26 - Babe Ruth
31 - Dizzy Dean
35 - Dizzy Dean
42 - Babe Ruth
